First time author Paul Bowering came to this project through a confluence of events. Concerns over censorship, shifting cultural values, and the primacy of the individual gave him the impetus to write. "I just saw everything happening so fast and that there seemed to be a thread running through them. I said, okay, let's bring some of them together. Election integrity, media, censorship in the 2020 election."

A Canadian, Paul keeps an eye on the American experience from Western Canada where he lives with his wife and son. He remains a long-suffering Maple Leafs hockey fan.

Illustrator Carson Bowering is a freshman student  of achitecture at Ryerson in Toronto and the author's nephew.
